I am going trough a rough time and therefore I am not so eager to be out and about as usual- BUT I definitely do still feel like writing. I have to put something out here anyway as I have been forced to update my posts by the only one person who know who I am- my ex- boyfriend. He insisted on me modifying my posts to mention that I was with him at most of these events until a few weeks back. So now you know. I am just wondering if that makes any difference to you - because I as told him - it is not about who I went with but about the event in itself" and my readers don't know who I am anyway so I don't think it is a big deal. Maybe I am wrong but it is how I feel.
He is a great person and even if things didn't work out for us I don't have anything against him except for his constant way to bring me down by reminding me on how I landed in a new social world that I would have landed to anyway- because - as I stated to him yesterday before our big fight- There was a reason we met at a turning point in my life- I was stated to move on to a new social life and I knew it. I just happened to met him then and having a great time with him. He knows that I am a genuine person and that I would never have used him so I don't really understand his reaction.
Anyway this brings me to the fact that because of what is going on in my personal life I may report on less events per se and more on social encounters that will take place while I am out on dates (eh yeah I sort of have to go back out there) and celebrating life- while forgetting about the difficulties of a break up.

Hamptons Undercover Launch at Highbar
I am getting there, posting "only" two days after attending an event. I was even going to write about it yesterday but technical difficulties prevented me from doing so- oh well.
I was so looking forward to get out of my apartment and therefore was simply hopingfor a nice time, enjoy a drink and relax. That was without thinking that I was on my way to a rooftop cocktail party hosted by Coralie Charriol Paul, Kelly Killoren-Bensimon a few other socialites types -such as Kipton Cronkite- and QUINTESSENTIALLY for the launch of www.hamptonsundercover.com , the social networking website dedicated to all things Hamptons!
Celebrities and socialites mingled on the nice rooftop of Highbar while pictures were constantly being taken.
Once again several of BRAVO ' NYC Real Housewives were present, as well as Olivia Palermo, our dear Devorah Rose from Social Life and Tatiana Platt
Karen Miller, the designer of all my favorite cocktail dresses was in attendance as well.
I spoke to Patrick McMullan's son , Liam for the first time and he was such a sweetheart.

Read more about theeventand the list ofofand the after party at Bijoux- which I couldn't unfortunately attend- at these great sites:

HOUSE OF CAMPARI hosts "Defining a Moment: 25 New York Artists"
Feeling much better, I should be able to go out tomorrow...and I can't wait any longer. It is horrible for someone outgoing like me to be stuck at home.
Earlier today I was googlingsomeone I recently metand I came across the Patrick McMullan pics of theHouse of Campari event that took place on May 29th.
I had a great time despite the fact that I couldn't stay long enough to fully appreciate all the nice details of the cocktail party as my friends were anxious to leave because it was insanely hot inside. But the selection of Campari cocktails was quite good and the art:

More pictures and details from the evening from my friends at Guest Of a Guest - as they posted soon enough for their memory to be still fresh :)

But I am becoming better and soon won't have that issue anymore- so you can get as much info as my brain can recall.

New Noho Construction
A couple of days before I got stuck in bed I took a walk to the Field store and found myself in Noho looking at a building in construction that looked familiar- no wonder it did - I attended what was supposed to be a " rooftop pool party"on W4 at the end of May.
When I got to the building the construction elevator inthe "hard hat area" didn't take us to the rooftop but to a low middle level terrace where there was no pool!I am not so used to being deceived and I was going to leave but a quick look around made me realize I could have a great time there. The waiters were gorgeous, the djette was good, and the Mojito were delicious. Found a few friends and acquaintances with whomI chatted for a bit.
I was feeling much better about that reception until I had a need to use the ladies rooms and found out I had to take the freight elevator back downstairs with one of the construction worker to get to these construction sites "bathrooms"- That was the sign I had to leave. Seriously I couldn't take a chance to use these while wearing a fancy cocktail dress :)

Old is the new new - back to FingerPaint
Now that I finally arranged my schedule so I could spent more time socializing and giving you the nitty-grittty details on my event experience- I get a stupid little sickness that will keep me in bed for a few days.
Luckily I have a few events I haven't posted yet so I will be able to share them with you and I will quite likely be posting more about event planning and some random fun things that can be seen out there.
End of May (the 28th to be more precise) I attended the Fingerpaint reception hosted by Blackbook and at the Dia Gallery.
Great and interesting artsy crowd mixed with social types all gathered together in this nice loft-like space featuring artwork from selected talented artist - among them was my favorite - Shepard Fairey - that were being auctioning to benefit the Make It Right Foundation, cured by Brad Pitt.
