Event lifestyle change

filed under: Eventista

Like many New Yorkers I have been really sick  recently- but worst of all I have been on bed-rest for several weeks due to some injury therefore being unable to attend many promising events to which I had RSVP’d. Knowing how I had turned into some sort of event-addict for the past three years I have lived in America I was sure I would become insane and that I would go against doctors’ s recommendations simply to attend these launches, Bday celebrations and more. Instead of that I found myself enjoying the time spent browsing the web for new sources of interests , online, shopping, books reading, having friends over (I did get them to report on some awesome parties I had “missed” but then what….this is New York- there will always be something else to attend – something better probably…), re-connecting with the reality basically, became part of my daily routine.
I have a few more weeks to spend in bed and I promised myself that I will change my daily habits from working all day , running from an event to another one and then try to keep this Eventistas.com as up to date as possible and start all over again to working all day, attend less  “formal events” and more informal ones such as joining the girls for tapas, meeting an old time friend at some random venue I have never heard of. I pledge to be more open minded and see every opportunity as an event , from Housewarming parties to get together, launches, premieres and more. I believe this new vision will make it easier to keep this site constantly up to date…and to develop the Eventistyle section.
